BRO. JOSEPH WOODLEY

Baptized on October 28, 1995

In 2002 he ran for the same seat and lost by only 23 votes. Councilor Cuffey was born in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University and is currently seeking his M.B.A. He has achieved his Para-legal Certificate from Old Dominion University from Norfolk State University. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer. Mr Cuffey is married and has two children. He is employed by Alfa Laval, Inc., a Swedish company located in Richmond. Among his professional affiliations are NAPM-VA (National Association for Purchasing Managers of Virginia); Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; and the NAACP. He is a Volunteer Counselor at the Riverside Regional Jail. Councilor Cuffey is active with the Arlington Road Church of Christ as Youth Director, Treasurer, and Trustee. He has been a member of the Neighborhood Watch Advisory Council, Industrial Development Authority, and the Promotions Advisory Board.

Joseph Woodley was born in Waverly, Virginia unto a large family of nine brothers and sisters. He moved to Hopewell, Virginia in 1971 and married his beautiful wife, Loretha Smith in 1971. They have two children, Lisa (Woodley) Pollard and Chioke Woodley, and sever grand-children. Joseph "Joe the Baptizer" Woodley was baptized in 1988 and now works in the Hopewell School System. He has worked with the youth at the Arlington Road Church of Christ for 15 years and counting. Joseph is a local business owner with his own building just one block from the church called "Joes Fish Fry". Since being a member at the Arlington Road Church of Christ, he has been ordained as a Deacon in the Spring of 2007.
